Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one woman sharpens another.

The coolest thing happened at one of our recent Iron Sharpens Iron luncheon...    2 gals ended up sitting next to Nancy Cobb, the author of, The Politically Incorrect Wife.

Nancy and I at an ISI luncheon.

After realizing who they were sitting beside, they eventually mustered the courage (after realizing how approachable she is) and asked if she would be willing to lead the Bible study in The Politically Incorrect Wife.  (Never thinking she would say yes.)

Guess what?   Nancy said yes!

At Iron Sharpens Iron, we always pray for divine seating...  And certainly - this was divine seating!
Friendships are so important.  Jesus friendships are EVEN MORE IMPORTANT.

While studying Daniel recently, the thought occurred to me:
  • Daniel was not willing to be mediocre in his walk with the Lord.
  • Daniel also wasn't willing to have the lowest common denominator of devotion to God despite where the majority of God's people were spiritually at the time.

Although there's no mention after Chapter 3 of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, I'm certain that Daniel's friendship with these men prevailed.  They were his God friends who stood with him and encouraged him to walk with God in excellence - not in religious mediocrity.

I've got much more to share about Jesus friends and mentors.  My first mentor - I stalked.  Yes, I stalked her.  I'll be sharing that story next week!

But in the mean time, if you:
  1. Do not have many Jesus friends - who encourage your walk with the Lord -
  2. Just need the fellowship and encouragement from other like-minded believers -
  3. Need solid teaching on marriage and the practicalities of relationship with Jesus...
  4.
  • Come to the luncheon on Friday.
  • Pray along with the KGM team that He will divinely place you.
You never know... You could be end up like the 2 gals, whom God orchestrated to be mentored by the best of the best as it relates to the subject of marriage.

Pretty cool, huh???
