I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me Your unfailing love in wonderful ways.
Today, I want to give you a glimpse at the power of prayer and the heart of our keynote speakers, Jen and Linda Barrick. They have very ordinary people with REAL ISSUES. But they serve an extraordinary God and rely heavily on the power of PRAYER.
We too can rely on the power of prayer. Just as God hears the words of this very weak girl, He promises to hear us as well. This is a beautiful example of the power of praying OUT LOUD.
Last week, the entire Barrick family spoke in Georgia. Linda (the mom) writes, "After lunch, I realized we would only have one hour to rest before the big evening event.
As we were in the elevator on the way up to our hotel room, the craziest thing happened. Jen looked at Josh and said “Josh you did great! God really spoke through you!” We started laughing.
Josh said, “Jen, we didn’t speak yet. Our family is speaking tonight!” Jen replied, “Really? Well I’m exhausted! It feels like we already spoke.” In that moment Jen’s memory had left and she was confused.
The next minute we get to the room and Andy (dad) is feeling sick. Now I’m getting worried ... I asked Jen to pray out loud! Jen’s prayer was so powerful that tears just streamed down my face.
I knew God was going to come to our rescue!
How can this sweet girl who is so confused pray with such clarity and authority? It has to be the power of the Holy Spirit . When Jen is weak, God takes over and gives her the words. After Jen’s prayer there was no doubt that God’s Presence would be with us and He would speak to every heart.

As a result, hundreds of people made life changing decisions from salvation to forgiveness... and many chose for God to redeem their scars for His Glory!"
Be blessed and start praying out loud in your own trials and difficulties. God will give us the words and His power will be released.
Today - He quieted my quarreling children when I started praying out loud! I love how practical God is:).
